Abtei Mariawald describes itself: “Die Abtei Mariawald ist seit vielen Jahrhunderten ein Ort des Gebetes und ein Ort der Gastlichkeit auf der Reise durch die Eifel.” Mass follows the familiar Catholic rhythm of readings, homily, and Eucharist. Visitors are welcome to participate as they're comfortable; non-Catholics typically remain seated or come forward for a blessing during Communion.
