St. Illuminator

221 East 27th Street, New York

What to expect on a first visit

St. Illuminator describes itself: “St. Illuminator's Armenian Cathedral.” Expect ancient liturgy engaging all the senses — chant, incense, and icons. Much of the congregation stands, and people come and go quietly during the long service; arriving mid-liturgy is normal and unremarkable. Children's programming or nursery care is available.
